IIHS-MDB 2.0 barrier finite element model

The IIHS-MDB 2.0 barrier model is a redeveloped version based on the 1.0 barrier model, tailored to meet updated regulatory requirements. The total mass of the barrier vehicle is 1900kg, and the impact performance of the barrier is determined by the characteristics of honeycomb aluminum material. The current latest version is 1.0.

Two physical experiments and simulation comparisons are conducted to illustrate the performance of the model:
