Thor50 Dummy FEA Model

The Thor50 dummy model is developed by Dynawe in collaboration with Japan's JASTI company for calibrating various components of the dummy using LS-DYNA software. It undergoes calibration simulation analysis for each component according to the calibration procedure of the physical dummy model, and is compared and optimized with the results of physical calibration tests. Ultimately, a high-precision Thor50 finite element dummy model that has been calibrated and validated is obtained, with the latest version being 2.2. The shoulder of this dummy is developed using a replaceable shoulder model from Japan's JASTI company's physical dummy. To meet the requirements of both CN-NCAP and Euro-NCAP regulations, two versions of the model have been developed: the C-NCAP version and the Euro-NCAP version. The C-NCAP version meets the requirements of the C-NCAP virtual testing certification (VTC) for AEB off-position condition dummy calibration.
