Introduction to Existing Domestic CAE Software in China

1. After eight years of dedicated research, the Liang Guoping research team at the Institute of Mathematics, Chinese Academy of Sciences has created an internationally advanced Finite Element Program Generation System (FEPG). FEPG adopts the concept of componentization and the advanced software shooting of finite element language, providing a very advantageous tool for finite element solution of various fields and aspects of problems. With FEPG, programming labor that usually takes months or even years can be completed in days or even hours.

2. Academician Zhong Zhihua's team at Hunan University has developed an integrated CAD/CAE/CAM technology and equipment for automotive cover stamping forming with multiple independent intellectual property rights. They have also developed the first set of automotive body stamping forming simulation software and automotive collision simulation software running on supercomputers in China, solving major technical problems in the development of new and export products for more than ten enterprises such as SAIC Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd. and Hunan Tongxin Industrial Co., Ltd.

3. Professor Hu Ping's team from the Automobile College of Jilin University has researched and developed the KMAS software system for rapid shooting and manufacturing analysis of automobile body structures and components, which has outstanding advantages in stress field and springback simulation accuracy, progressiveness of wood structure theory, diversity and adaptability of solver, and technical efficiency. It has successfully realized software integration and will enter the international automobile market.

The large-scale universal finite element analysis and optimization shooting software JIFEX, developed under the leadership of Professor Gu Yuanxian and Professor Zhang Hongwu from the Department of Engineering Mechanics at Dalian University of Technology, has fully independent copyright and embodies the hard work of several generations of researchers. After nearly 30 years of research and application, it has grown into a powerful and distinctive finite element analysis software. The main functions include manager analysis, Monte Carlo analysis, dynamic response analysis, buckling analysis, thermal conduction analysis, thermal response, contact/dry friction/oil film friction analysis, nonlinear analysis, etc.
